Architectural Record magazine published the results of this annual competition in their December 2004 issue.

Selection was made by a jury of industry experts in the fields of architecture, design and product development.

Competing products were submitted in 14 categories related to construction and architecture. In the category of "Electrical," Candéo^® (page 324) was chosen as one of 15 lighting products and only three indoor luminaires to receive this recognition.
